Start your day 7.45am, leaving Port Douglas. Enjoy your tailored “Great Barrier Reef Drive” in our comfortable seven seat Mercedes Benz. First Stop - Rex Range Lookout for views of Mossman, Daintree and the Coral Sea then on to Granite Gorge, a wondrous rock landscape of strange boulders that look like animals. We hand feed a wild colony of Mareeba Rock Wallabies.

Short break for Morning Tea at the Coffee Works. Relax in lush tropical surrounds enjoying Australian coffee, superb gelato, devious treats and handcrafted desserts.

Our tour wouldn’t be complete without a visit to the Curtain Fig National Park. Gaze in awe at this 500 year old 50m tall wonder, a strangler fig with a “curtain” vertical roots. Walk the boardwalk to view the tree from different angles and capture some fabulous photographs of the unique root curtain.

Onwards to Lake Barrine which is world famous for it’s informative and relaxing rainforest and wildlife cruises around the volcanic crater brim. The 45-minute guided boat ride provides an in-depth look at one of the most complex and amazing rainforest eco-systems in the world. Quietly glide around the crater whilst looking for pythons, snakes, birds, turtles, eels and other amazing creatures.

Lunch and refreshments are provided at the Australian Platypus Park, home to a thriving platypus population, found in a spring fed pond surrounded by lush tropical vegetation.

One last stop a few minutes up the road. We visit the picturesque Millaa Millaa Falls, an icon of the area and part of the Queensland Heritage Listed Waterfall circuit. The falls are 18.3 metres high with a pool suitable for swimming at the base.

Then its Home Sweet Home - approx 5.30pm.
